The Back Up Wizard can be accessed from the File Menu and can be run at any time.

The wizard will take you through four steps.  You can go forward and back through the steps by selecting Next or Back respectively.

  1. On opening, the Wizard will list all the open source files or you can browse for the file on disk.  Select the file you want to backup and press Next.

  2. The file and any dependencies (i.e. referenced include files) will be listed in the Check List box. Choose the items you want to archive by checking or un-checking the items. Then press Next.

  3. You can optionally add notes to the archive and/or a list files in the archive.  Enter any text you require and check the Include List of Contents if necessary.  These will be added to the end of your text.  When complete press Next.

  4. The final step lists all the files you have chosen to backup and the folder in which the archive will be placed.  If you are satisfied all settings are correct press Finish to create the archive.

The backup wizard will backup both the source file and its associated meta data file (*.mci), if one exists,

Note  If you Archive files which are in folders protected by Administrator privileges you will have to run Positron Studio as Administrator to restore those files, alternatively unpack the archive zip file externally from Positron Studio.
